### Volt-amps to kW conversion formula

P=The real power P in kilowatts (kW)

S=the apparent power S in volt-amps (VA)

PF=the power factor PF

**P(in kW) = S(VA) × Power Factor / 1000**

So that you cand define power(P) in kilowatts are equal to VA times the PF divided

by 1000.

**kilowatts(KW) = volt-amps(VA) × PF / 1000**

or you can re-write formula like that

**kW = VA × PF / 1000**
