## kilowatts to amps calculation formula in DC

I=The current I in amps
P=the power P in kilowatts
V=the voltage V in volts
I(A) = 1000 × P(in kW) / V(in volt)
So that you can say that amps(A) are equal to 1000 times kilowatts(KW) divided by volts
amps(A) = 1000 × kilowatts(in KW) / volts(V)
or
A(amps) = 1000 × kW / V(volts)
Let's take one Example
Example#1
Find out the current in amps(A) Where the power utilization is 20 kilowatts and the voltage supply in circuit is 23 volts.
P=20kw
V=23
I=1000*20/23
I=869.56amps

### kilowatts to amps calculation formula in AC single phase

I=The phase current I in amps
P=the real power P in kilowatts
PF=the power factor PF times
V=the RMS(root mean square) voltage V in volts:
I = 1000 × P(power) / (PF × V(voltage) )
So that definition is amps(A) are equal to 1000 times kilowatts(kw) divided by pf times volts.
amps(A) = 1000 × kilowatts(kw) / (PF × volts(v))
or
A = 1000 × kW / (PF × V)
Let's take one Example
Example#2
Find out the current in amps(A) where the power utilization is 25 kilowatts, the pf is 0.8 and the RMS(root mean square) voltage supply is 230 volts.
P=25KW , V=230V , PF=.8
I = 1000 × 25kW / (0.8 × 230V) = 3.75A
I=1000*25/.8*230
I=25000/184
I=135.86amps

### kilowatts to amps calculation formula AC three phase

I=The phase current I in amps
P=the real power P in kilowatts
PF=the power factor PF times
VL-L=the  line to line RMS voltage VL-L in volts:
I = 1000 × P(power) / (√3 × PF × VL-L )
So using above formula amps(A) are equal to 1000 times kilowatts(kw) divided by √3 times pf times volts.
amps(A) = 1000 × kilowatts(KW) / (√3 × POWER FACTOR × volts)
OR
A = 1000 × kW / (√3 × PF × V)
OR
Kw=sqrt3*V*I*pf/100

Let's take one Example
Example#3
Find out the current in amps(A) where the power utilization is 0.55 kilowatts, the PF is 0.8 and the voltage supply in circuit is 120volts
I(amps) = 1000 × 0.55kW / (√3 × 0.8 × 120V) =3.307A

### How to convert kw to amps in three  phase system with line to neutral voltage

I(A) = 1000 × P(in kW) / (3 × Power factor × VL-N(V) )
OR
I=Kw*1000/3*V*pf
V=average voltage in 3 phase system
I=average current in 3 phase system
pf=power factor
Let's take one example:
Example#4
Find out the current in amps(A) where the power utilization is 0.55 kilowatts, the PF is 0.8 and the
voltage supply in circuit is 120volts.
I(amps) = 1000 × 0.55kW / (3 × 0.8 × 120V) =1.9A
