How to convert kW to VA?

Kilowatts(kw) to volt-amps(va) conversion formula

S=The apparent power S in volt-amps (VA)
P=The real power P in kilowatts (kW)
PF=the power factor PF

S(VA) =  1000 × P(in kW) / PF

So that you can say that VA is equal to 1000 times kw divided by the pf.

volt-amps(VA) = 1000 × kilowatts(KW) / PF

Or You can rewrite this formula

VA = 1000 × kW / PF

Example#1
I want to calculate the the apparent power in volt-amps(VA) where the real power(p) is 5 kW,Pf is .08
Apply Kilowatts (kW) to volt-amps (VA) Conversion formula:

S = 1000 × 5kW / 0.8 = 6250VA

Example#2
I want to calculate the the apparent power in volt-amps(VA) where the real power(p) is 10 kW,Pf is .08

S = 1000 × 10kW / 0.8 = 12500VA
