As I said in my comment:
Since your createChartDate function wraps multiple variables (and other functions), your charts aren't independent of each other. Only the last one transitions because var allchart = d3.select(chartname)..., chartname holds the value "#chart2"
Lots of ways to fix this but a quick refactor would be to have your createChartDate
return the transition functions (in an object), so you can call them later (and you create a closure).
